Uniform...
FSMD has two uniform's, one basic and one advanced. While it is not compulsory to obtain the advanced uniform it is required to progress progress to the higher ranks of our system
We are working to supply a advanced kit similar to the one depicted at right at an affordable price.
Production of the advanced uniform is underway, with an arrival time TBA. In the meantime the school is willing to make or help you make your uniform.
Basic uniform - Black track paints, FSMD tee shirt and low traction shoes.
Basic Arms & Armor - An approved long sword, rondel dagger and Hourglass gauntlets, bascinet, and an arming coat.
Advanced Uniform - Leather shoes, 1 pair hosen, 1 set braies, hood, while under-tunic, Bocksten-style tunic, leather belt with buckle, thong garters, kidney-shaped pouch.
Advanced - Arms & Armor - 3/4 plate harness, Pole arms and additional approved weapons.
Additional Items.....“Charles du Blois” style cotte, pointing doublet, split hosen, “cotte-hardie” style cotte, chausses, ½” to ¾” belt, plaque belt, houppelande cotte with pendant sleeves, cotte with bag sleeves, chaperon very late in this era, hood worn “sideways”, trimmed in fur, pointed turn shoes. Some varieties of long robe-like garments are also acceptable as variations, as are certain cottes with high upraised collars.
